It has been highlighted in a recent media article that the “Legal aid shortfalls is leaving people forced to represent themselves in court”.

The lack of support for Self-represented litigants issue has persisted over decades and has caused alot of harm on many families and children involved.

FDSS plays a very crucial role in bridging the access-to-justice gap through one-on-one coaching support services and online workshops for vulnerable families who struggle to find or afford legal representation in the Family Court. These families are often forced to represent themselves alone in the Family Court, without any assistance or support. The lack of support for those vulnerable families often exacerbates their parental conflicts and leads to a significant backlog in the system, causing further undue delays in resolving their disputes.
